Job Title: CSR Ethical Controller (part time)

Reports to: Market Quality Manager and dotted line to European Quality Director on Ethical

Purpose of the job:

  • To proactively support the UK MSO with the local CSR agenda to include B-Corp as well as driving Ethical and providing support to the UK careline

 

Key Accountabilities:

B Corp (35%)

  • Ensure BCorp is supported, monitored, tracked and maintained for Ecotone UK (MSO and SU)
  • Ensure UK is BCorp recertified in 2022
  • Devise initiatives to raise the visibility of B Corp, working with external partner (eg: Highlight PR) to promote our work

 

Ethical – including SEDEX (35%)

  • Support and develop the extended Ecotone’s ethical mission including maintaining and managing SEDEX on behalf of the Ecotone group across Europe
  • Undertake ethical risk assessments
  • Shape new processes for Ecotone factories, structures (working with external/internal partners) and run training sessions ensuring compliance with specific legal requirements

 

Consumer Careline and Complaints (15%)

  • Support the Consumer Careline Manager on the:-
  • handling of consumer care investigations, reporting
  • ensure serious complaints / product issues are escalated and resolved as quickly as possible working with key external/internal stakeholders
  • participate in crisis management team and product recall process

 

Quality (15%)

  • Perform 2 supplier audits per year  and participate in selected Quality project, e.g. development of EU MSO Quality.
  • Coaching of others in the team/areas of interest from the Market Quality Manager role
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, internal customers, external agencies, EU Quality and Careline Colleagues.

Internal:  Quality, R&D, Marketing, Sales, internal legal counsel (where required) 

External: consumers, customers, agencies (if outsourced), suppliers

Experience:

Industry:

Ideally FMCG

Consumer Care / Customer Service

Other:

Ethical / BCorp / CSR experience in FMCG (essential)

Risk assessment / audit experience (essential)

Consumer / Customer experience (essential)

Complaint handling (preferred)

Database management (essential)

Use of MS Word / Excel

 

Education and Training:

  • Sustainability or environmental education/training
  • Complaints management

 

Languages:

Excellent English

 

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to learn and take in information (e.g.: nutrition / food safety principles / crisis management)
  • Able to run different database systems and to give input for further development
  • Detailed and accurate
